AN entire beachside apartment complex crowned by a Palm Springs-inspired penthouse is up for grabs in the RSL Art Union’s latest prize home draw worth $6.6 million.
For the cost of a $10 lottery ticket, the winner will take ownership of five newly built apartments at Bilinga Beach on the southern Gold Coast, while also supporting the charity’s work for Queensland veterans.
The units come fully furnished, with each professionally styled to reflect a different global destination, including New York, Morocco, the Mediterranean, and Scandinavia, alongside the mid-century modern aesthetic of the two-level penthouse with private rooftop entertaining area.

One of the RSL Art Union’s biannual ‘golden treasure’ lotteries, Draw 405 includes the five-storey oceanview building valued at $5.66m, along with a furniture and appliance package worth more than $425,000, rates, water, and body corporate fees paid for 12 months, and $500,000 in gold bullion.
RSL Art Union general manager, lotteries Deborah Pescott said the major prize, dubbed, “a world of opportunity”, offered years of financial freedom for one lucky recipient.
The winner could move into the four-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse and rent out the remaining four units, each with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, for an estimated $166,400 a year, rent all five for an estimated $244,400 a year, or sell the lot.
“With rising cost pressures and interest rates, we’ve had many of our recent winners confirm their reitrement plans are now more secure and they can breathe easy knowing they have secure income, or are now instant millionaires,” Ms Pescott said.

Research by YouGov showed while home ownership remained a goal for 88 per cent of those surveyed, the dream had lost its shine with a majority of young Aussies.
The data shows 31 per cent of respondents believe it’s too difficult to save for a home deposit in the current economic climate, with Millennials and Gen X almost twice as likely to share concerns of never attaining home ownership than Baby Boomers.
“This Gold Coast apartment complex offers hope to those currently locked out of the property market, and can easily make the Australian dream a reality for one lucky ticket holder,” Ms Pescott said.

Veteran Andrew Crowe said funds raised went directly to essential support programs, providing housing and employment services as well as funding important research and medical initiatives.
Mr Crowe, who joined the army aged 18 and was deployed to Afghanistan three times during his 12 years of fulltime service, said he accessed support from RSL Art Union-funded programs to transition into consulting work.

“We’re seeing what happens when we don’t look after our veterans [with] significant levels of suicide and other negative effects which have touched a lot of us in many different ways,” Mr Crowe said.
“The lotteries more broadly are super important — you’re not just buying a ticket in some faceless charity. Every cent that comes through this lottery goes straight back into veteran charities and we’re genuinely, as veterans, very appreciative of the work that RSL Queensland does.”
Tickets in Draw 405 are available until May 24, with the winner drawn on May 31.
