Gold Coast hospitality king Pat Gennari has listed his $5.35 million waterfront mansion complete with two bars, a poker room, home cinema and newly renovated masterchef’s kitchen.
Speaking from Monaco, Italy, Mr Gennari, 53, said he was “ready to go home now”, after an extravagant European holiday with girlfriend Bianca Zell, 25, and her mates. He said they spent the previous evening partying on a yacht owned by Leonardo DiCaprio.
“We went to Saint-Tropez for her birthday,” said Mr Gennari. Itinerary highlights included private jet transfers, the Cannes Festival, Monaco Grand Prix, Amalfi Coast and Mykonos.
“I haven’t been anywhere for five years so I thought I needed to celebrate properly.”

The restaurateur is selling the five-bedroom, five-bathroom Broadbeach Waters home through Kollosche’s Michael Kollosche and Matthew Follent after acquiring a riverfront block on prestigious Monaco St.
The Gennari Group comprises four Broadbeach venues, as well as Glass and newest venue, the spectacular La Luna Beach Club, both at Marina Mirage.
Mr Gennari purchased his 683 sqm property for $1.915m in 2014, installing a new kitchen with all the bells and whistles a top chef might demand, along with a range of lavish indoor and outdoor living and entertaining spaces.

The couple are holidaying in Europe.
Features of the double-storey home include two bars — one serving a New York-style poker room upstairs with stunning views over the canals to the Glitter Strip skyline.
There’s also a guest wing, home cinema with starry-sky ceiling and pinball machine, outdoor pizza kitchen and al fresco entertaining zone with pool.
Mr Follent said the home featured luxury finishes throughout, including designer wallpaper, pendant lighting, quality flooring and fluted glass accents.
“This is a unique home with a great flow through entertaining and living areas, and its point position on the water is pretty special and gives you a lot of privacy,” Mr Follent.

Mr Gennari said the home had been impeccably maintained.
“I’ve looked after this home like it’s been one of my restaurants.
“It’s a ripper house. The sun sets just perfect. I’m actually sad to go but I bought it 10 years ago. It’s time to do something different,” he said.
The 20-year hospitality industry veteran engaged Solis Estudio to design a luxury new home, with the build to commence in November with Clamroc Constructions.
“I found a double block on Monaco St and I’m building a mega-mansion on there with Tony Stark kind of vibes,” Mr Gennari said, alluding to Marvel’s billionaire superhero, also known as Iron Man.
“It’s going to be like a private beach club with a health spa retreat – you’ve never seen anything like it before.”

In January, Mr Gennari splashed $5.15m on a 1,591 sqm northeast corner block which came to market for the first time in 32 years.
The plans mark a turning point for Mr Gennari, who has endured hardships over the last three years including steering his business through Covid restrictions and losing an eye to cancer.
The death of his father Rossano was another blow.
Mr Gennari spoke with pride of his 17-year-old son, Jackson, who recently took on a weekend job in the formidable family business.

The home has five bedrooms.

“He’s got to finish school but he works for me on the weekends,” Mr Gennari said.
“Then he’s ready to take on the empire.”
Mr Gennari tipped a prosperous summer season for La Luna, inspired by the sophisticated European party scene.
“The Beach Club is going to go off this summer.
“Obviously, still staying strict to my rules … just sticking to the plan and not budging. It’s high class or don’t come in.”
