“It was ideal auction conditions where we had two very astute buyers who recognised the value and location and the future yield in the block,” Mr Fleri said.

“Both potential buyers were from our long term client list.

“We also had two buyers who would have come in as conditional buyers after the auction.”

A Gold Coast buyer who moved to the city three years ago came away triumphant.

“What it signifies is if you have a good product with a good location and a good marketing campaign with an agency that has a good rapport, the product is going to attract a premium price,” Mr Fleri said.

“It’s not a reflection of the market as such, it just speaks to our ability within our team at Amir Prestige.

“It just proves that our agency doesn’t miss any opportunity.

“To me it reassures Amir Mian as the number one agent.”

Nicole Bricknell Selling House

The house once belonged to Nicole Bricknell — ex-wife of disgraced former Billabong tycoon.

Ms Bricknell built the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home in 2016 after her former husband Matthew Perrin was convicted of defrauding a bank of $13.5m.

She sold the sprawling mansion for $7.3 million in June, 2021.

Two years on and vendors Quoc Viet Hoang and This Tam Tran have sold the property for almost $3m more than they paid for it.

The two-storey Cronin Island mansion is one of 39 prestige properties on the exclusive island.

It makes the most of its prestige riverfront position with spectacular views of the city skyline from almost every room.

It comes with a seemingly endless list of luxury features including a central glass atrium, billiard room, bar, entertaining terrace and butler’s pantry.

“Everybody loved the fact this house offers the opportunity for further development in the future because it’s a very cleverly designed home that’s immaculate inside,” Mr Fleri said.

“It’s very liveable with the current lifestyle.

“You don’t have to do anything.”

Mr Fleri said the prestigious positioning of the property had international appeal.

“Cronin Island is a premium on top of a premium position – this is an island off an island style living – there is nothing else like it,” Mr Fleri said.

“There is also something to be said for the waterway there – that stretch of river is the widest and longest and this property is on the northeast corner of that stretch.

“Once you cross over onto Cronin you feel an immediate tranquil ambience, there’s a different vibe entirely, but it’s also quite a well-kept secret as an enclave, with international level appeal.”
